OK, I just knew that posting a how-to looking at the XP SP3 slipstream process was going to generate a number of questions, but I hadn’t expected anywhere near as many as I’ve had.

Skimming through the list, I’ve shortlisted the top four questions peppering my inbox. These are:

Can I add Firefox to the XP SP3 slipstream? >> Jump to page
How to I integrate Windows Media Player 11 into the XP SP3 slipstream? >> Jump to page
I’ve heard that SP3 doesn’t contain the DST changes patch - how do I add this to the slipstreamed ISO? >>

For the basics of creating an XP SP3 slipstreamed ISO file, read this post: Creating an XP SP3 slipstreamed ISO file.

UPDATE: If you are slipstreaming under Windows Vista then you should read this update.

Note: This process is not suppored by Microsoft. Also, it’s experimental and things can go wrong. It’s advisable to test your slipstreamed ISO using Virtual PC or other virtual machine package before deploying.
